Here for the boos!
Although quiet and subdued this year, Halloween was a success. Even though I didn't think I would pull in together in time, and I almost didn't; I was still baking up until everyone arrived, and still hadn't fully got changed.
But still, everyone was completely understanding, and didn't mind watching the oven while I Minnie-d up (yes I dressed up this year, so sue me!!! I conveniently have no pics of my outfit, but I wore a red dress and put a black t-shirt over the top. I even got a pair of Minnie ears online a few days before. I didn''t have )
And I apologize for all the blurry pics; I was rushing to get them as everyone was arriving to they're a little out of focus.
Main set up of the table.
No ornament stand was left up-webbed!!
Does this look familiar? Yep; I recycled my spell book and props from last year!!
Another shot with the little books I made.
Grave stones a-plenty.....
This year's blood splattered cookies turned out waaaaay better than last years!! You live and learn, huh?!!
Ghost cuppies; nah; just vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Sometimes the old ideas are the best!
Braaaaains! Yep; I went there with the Krispie treats!!!
Ordinary salad. But the dip is the best; served in the witch's cauldron complete with crackers.
Sweetcorn and rice; always reminds me of my aunts house on Halloween. She was born on 31st October, don't ya know?!!!
Mummy dogs' well; almost!!! And Pickled eyeballs; yum!
Devilled eggs of course, and cheese bombs.
Sloppy Joe; best comfort food I know.
Homemade bread; always a crown request at my parties.
Pumpkin seeds; I ate the majority of these though.
A simple mac and cheese-type pasta. Instead of normal macaroni, I used spaghetti and added in sweetcorn and mushrooms. Easy-peasy, nice and cheesy (sorry; no relevance, but just channeling Goofy there!!)
As far as low budget parties go, this one tops all my other DIY-ed ones. It just goes to show you can put in little effort and get big results.
For my next trick, I'll post the recipes, a lot of them are simple and can be rustled up for any meal, not just Halloween.
I'll leave you all for now; and hope you all have a wonderful cool, crisp evening.
Huggles xx
