Flowers, flowers, flowers!

I know I promised this post yesterday, but I have been trying to fight off this head cold that's been going around; I've been no use to anyone so figured I'd try and at least get the pics and post them when I felt a little better; although I still feel less than normal!

Sniffles aside, I don't promote my sewing skills as expert; just someone who enjoys the skill involved, and that I have a finished product that no one else has.

OK, so they might be able to make these, but at least I can say "I made that!!" And feel a sense of pride about it!!

Any-hoo; let's begin:

For this one you're gonna need some circles of fabric in your chosen colour; this one's actually a lovely purple but the sun made it look blue; no biggie!!! And as you can see; a cellotape roll made the perfet size to cut around.

Now fold each circle in half.............

And then half again...............

Sew a simple stich along the top and push it to the end of the cotton. Pull it tight, but not too tight as it will get tigher the more petals you put on. (jeez; could I have used the word tight any more in one sentance?!!! :) :)

8 petals fit on this one; now it should look something like this....................

Pull it tight together and tie it securely. I usually do about 3/4 knots in mine; just to be sure, and cut off any excess cotton.

You can stich on the button, but I prefer to glue them; with trusty old UHU glue!

And now that the button is dry, attach your clip with............you've guessed it; UHU glue!! (Of course you can use a hot glue gun; mine is on it's way. Yeah I know I'm a little slow with my crafty supplies!)

All finished! (Note this is not a good pic of it my hair, but still I think they're so cute!!!)

So that it!! So easy, and even mt niece made some with me. Such a great project to teach kids to sew with.

So now gang I'm off to take some more cold medicine and figure out another project to add to my ever growing craft fair hall!!!

Toodles xoxox
