Soup and Shinanigans
Sitting here eating a bowlful of homemade soup (recipe will following; I promise!) I realised that I haven't touched base with you guys in so very long.
What with the move and all, I haven't had a moment, and I am very sorry I've neglected you! Sending you all make up hugs!
When we last spoke. I promised to show you some pics of a lunch I did; well, here they are!
Let's start with the table; black tablecloth and a gold scarf I already had to had; is the theme obvious yet? A Hollywood Theme!!
Good old trusty string balls! I had these in the cupboard somewhere, but they are so easy to make; just blow up a balloon, soak some wool PVA glue and water, wrap around the balloon and allow to dry. Once they are (mine sometimes take a few days!) pop them with a pin.
I used a string of lights, some LED lights in truffle cases and some homemade confetti; whichwas just a hole punched into lots of paper to match the theme.
Old light bulbs get a makeover! Paint on some PVA glue, sprinkle on some glitter and leave to dry. So pretty!
Close up of the truffle cases with the LED lights; Thanks to good old Pinterest!
Wrapped some ribbon arounf some straws to match.
No Hollywood themes is complete without popcorn; right? I make the boxes myself with this template, and drew in the lines myself:
Peanut butter cookies in CD cases. This was a huge hit! Not just the cookies, but the idea that everyone knew they haden't been pawed; some friends like to rake through for the best ones!
Template for "Eat me" sticker:

Fry boxes with tickets on them!
Do you like the sprinkles; I actually made these myself; my guest were just as impressed as I was proud! I'll make sure I post all the recipes soon.
I really like these swirly cupcake wrappers! I printed a star onto some yellow paper for toppers:
So that's that everyone; one Hollywood/movie themed party, or rather my take on it anyway!
Tahnks for sticking trhough this long old post, and thanking for sticking with me!
I will be back soon with more bits and pieces for you, but until them; sweet dreams! xxx
