The Battle's on!! The 3- day Military Diet: Day 1
I made a decision; it's time to kick start this diet! I saw this Military Diet going around Pinterest and thought I'd give it a go. It works on a 3 day on/4day off; and seemed to have stuff I'd actually eat!
You sort of shock your body into eating the right foods, and in small portions for the first 3 days, and then eat healthy the other four.
I'm not sure it's supposed to be for long-term use; I think it's a good idea when you need to kick-start a healthy eating and excercise plan, or if you have a special even to slim down for!
You can read a little about it here: http://www.3daymilitarydiet.net/
I gave it a go; it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. So here goes with what I did:
Day 1
Breakfast:
1/2 grapefruit
1 slice toast
2tsp peanut butter
Coffee; so sugar, no milk
Lunch:
1/2 cup tuna
1 slice toast (I had a rice cake; can't eat bread that close in the day!)
Coffee (no sugar, no milk)
Dinner:
3oz meat (chicken or steak; couldn't afford steak, so chicken it was!)
1 cup green beans
1/2 cup carrots
1 small apple
1 cup ice cream (yeah; you heard right! :)
The first day's always the hardest. I thought I'd be hungrey most of the day, that wasn't the case with this; surprisingly!
I'm not a fan of coffee without sugar or milk, so I tried a low cal hot chocolate I had; was NOT the same!!! But I drank it!
Bread and I have issues; I can only eat it once a day and then I feel bloated! There is a part on the website I used that said you can subtitute the bread for a rice cake; perfect!
All in all, I didn't feel deprived; and looked forward to the "pudding" I had. I'm actually looking forawrd to tomorrow now!!!
