No rest for the wicked! Oreo pie

A spontanious day with my niece led to hot chocloate, colouring in, and getting cozy with a kiddie movie; actually I think I'm a bigger kids that her; and she's nearly eight, and I think I enjoyed it more that she did!

Wow! Really; where have all the years gone; seems like only yesterday she was a baby! Do I feel old right now!!!

Any-hooo! Here's an old (putting my foot right in it there! :) recipe I haven't shown you; well it's old in the sense that I made this Oreo pie ages ago as a trial for a friend's birthday; came out OK and no one even knew I'd fluffed up a little; a little too runny for my liking, and sweet; even for me!! But thought you guys might appreciate it!!!

Oreo Pie

36 Oreo’s. divided

¼ cup butter, melted

1 pkg cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup sugar

2 cups whipped cream

Oreo’s and whipped cream to garnish

Crush 26 Oreo’s into crumbs; you cna use a food prosseor, but I had to do it the old fashioned way; in a plastic bag and rolling pin! Mix in the butter and press into a pie dish. Chill for 2 hrs.

Chop 10 Oreo’s and set aside. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until fluffy.

Add the cookies and whipped cream and spoon into the dish. I actually recommend chilling this for an hour or two before you serve it; to me it came out a little runnier than I'd expected.

Garnish with Oreo’s and whipped cream and serve. Enjoy folks! x
