Meatloaf hand
Thanks to Not Quite Nigella: http://www.notquitenigella.com/2012/10/29/halloween-party-food-2/
Pop on over to see the rest of the Halloween party food she did; it's awesome!!!
I tried this gross looking, but very tasty meatloaf hand for Halloween this year that she had there, and just had to share it! Even though it came out a little flatter than NQN's, it still looked great, and the kids loved it!
I did however have some leftover; the recipe says to use 2 glove, but I didn;t have another spare; so I just rolled the rest into a ball and called it the brain! Everyone thought it was cool, which was kinda part of the plan!!
Meatloaf hand (with a side of brain!!)
500g/1 pound mince
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
3 tablespoons tomato paste plus 2-3 tablespoons extra for glaze
Rinse out a latex glove. Combine all the ingredients and stuff into the glove. Freeze the glove for a few hours.
Preheat the oven and bake until done (about half an hour). Serve on a bed of mash potato.
