Branching out!
After much coaxing, I eventually managed to get my sis to come out for a walk with me to collect some branches; the idea was to use them for a centrepiece for the party.
So, with flask of tea in hand (when I go walking, I'm gone hours!) we set off, and wouldn't you know it; it started pouring down!
We headed to a covered spot nearby where, even though the kids have sort of ruined it for the rest of us, there was a table and it was covered and we could at least sit and have out tea and wait for the rain to stop.
After trying to get me to do a selfie, my sis and I went on our way (she'll kill me for posting this!):
Back home where it was nice and warm, I serveyed my "To do" list.
First; candy skewers for the trick-or-teaters, BUT that didn't go as planned.
So there I was frantically traweling the interenet trying to find something easy, and to make use of everything I already have.
So, I give you; Savoury pumpkin bags! (Well, that's what I called them, anyway!)
Easy enough; I figured, so I thought I give them a try, and they were very easy, and I think they came out better than my original plan!
All you do is draw a pumpkin face on a cellophane bag ( I didn't have the bags but I did have a whole role of cellphane and just cut it down to size and cellotaped them at the sides and bottom).
Fill with your treat; of course it has to be orange, or there abouts! (I used some savoury snacks that were cheap and cheerful!) and tie with ribbon and add a tag.
Here's a close up of the tag;
If you want to download the tage, you can get there here: (it's part of a pack, and you can see (eventually) what I'm gonna do with it all!!)
